 Fort Fisher Hermit
The hermit was an interesting man who lived in a WWII bunker between 1955 and 1972. During that time he became a popular tourist attraction, second only to the North Carolina battleship, and was visited by the thousands. The bunker is located in the maritime forest near the Fort Fisher basin. On this three-hour tour you will paddle to the beach near the bunker, and take a short hike to the old concrete bunker where the hermit lived. There is also Hermit’s Cove further down where there is plenty of wildlife to watch.
Full Moon Tour
If our early morning trips aren’t for you, then come join us for a full moon paddle. This is held only once a month, and is a great time for viewing the area’s nightlife. You are able to enjoy the beach from a different perspective while discovering the things that go “bump” in the night in the marshlands during the cooler temperatures!
 Zeke’s Island Family Adventure Tour
Located across the Fort Fisher basin, Zeke’s island is full of fun places to explore on the 1165-acre site; there are edible plants, swimming holes, and wildlife galore.
